Angela Hoefke is a vital member of the La Jolla Gastroenterology, with a primary focus on Gastroenterology care. She has a vast knowledge of acute and progressive care with her background as a registered nurse at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation where she served for a decade, and she has partaken in the diversity of medical care across various healthcare systems as she traveled the United States as a registered nurse. Locally, she has experience working at UC San Diego Health and Sharp Healthcare and she is currently credentialed with Scripps Health.

Her background as a Nurse Practitioner has been mainly in family and primary medicine; she has additional experience in geriatric care, internal medicine, neurology, functional medicine, and hospice care. She enjoys helping patients to better understand their health and medical conditions and strives to make patient learning individualized and comprehensive. She is also a military veteran and has a passion for serving fellow military members and their families. She is a strong advocate for colon cancer prevention and enjoys learning and applying the newest advances in gastroenterology care in her practice.
